Two Miami players took a knee for the national anthem, President Trump tweeted anti-NFL remarks and former quarterback Colin Kaepernick dominated the discussion. “My Brothers continue to show their unwavering strength by fighting for the oppressed! They have not backed down, even when attacked and intimidated,” Kaepernick tweeted. “Their courage will move the world forward!”

Young Black men commit a great percentage of violent crimes in the U.S., yet represent only a small percentage of the population. These young men are monsters, not animals. Calling these young men monkeys would be a compliment.

This is what Kaepernick is confused about.

He thinks the police are abusing young Black men (who are committing crimes BTW) by holding them responsible for their actions.

The stupidity (and immaturity) of Kaepernick is that he fails to see the hell that would be unleashed on the Black community if the police were to cease trying to stop this criminality.

It is bad now...it would be hell on earth without the police.

I live in a small town in the rural South.

Proportionately speaking, my small town is also out of control.

But the cops (Black and White cops) are fighting back. Luckily for me, I live among the Deplorables.

Kaepernick is a pussy-whipped quarterback who was failing at his profession.

What's a guy whose career is slip-sliding away gonna do to keep his girlfriend from leaving for greener pastures?

He better do sumpum fast or she's moving on.

That's why Kaepernick took a knee.

Unless police wrote the national anthem, there isn’t even any logic in this form of protest. It would make just about as much sense to avoid drinking beer, eating ice cream, or watching TV (in other words, no sense).

If there is a valid protest to be made, then do it between NFL games on your days off at the city halls of the locations where you believe the injustice is occurring. Bring some evidence. The media will cover that. And nobody is going to turn against you or football for exercising your first amendment rights. I don’t see anything in the first amendment about being a moron. The national anthem was written two centuries ago and refers to events in a war to preserve hard-won American independence. That has nothing to do with police brutality in 2018.

I just don’t get this. At what point can these guys stop taking a knee? And what exactly can the NFL do to fix this issue? What’s the endgame?

Hey, don’t knock Mr. 0-11. We need him back in the league... playing for the dirty birds.

Or any other key Saints rival.

FakeNews Financial Times in the UK thinks the Nike move is a winner!

7 Sept: UK Financial Times Op-ed: Nike picks a side in America’s culture wars
The trainer brand courts controversy with its Kaepernick ‘believe in something’ advert
by Andrew Edgecliffe-Johnson
Nike has good reasons to believe its gamble will pay off...
Nike needs the attention because Adidas has been nipping at its Jordans since the German group introduced its Yeezy line with Kanye West in 2015...
This is Nike’s second reason to be confident: drill down into this week’s polls and they show that support for Nike and Kaepernick is strongest among millennial or Gen-Z, African-American, liberal urbanites - the group Nike targets...

Unlike elected officials, a brand can win with far less than 50.1 per cent of the population behind it. (Nike chief executive Mark Parker told investors last year that it was looking to just 12 global cities to drive 80 per cent of its growth.)

A presidential tweet and some viral videos of singed shoes should not bother Nike in the least. Cuture wars can be great for business - if you know which side of them your customers are on.
