The former president of Planned Parenthood told a crowd of impressionable young college students Thursday that abortion is essential to gender equality.
The Cornell Daily Sun reports Gloria Feldt, who led the abortion chain in the 1990s and early 2000s, spoke at Cornell University during an event sponsored by Cornell Hillel. The title of her talk was 3 Truths About Sex, Power and Leadership.
Like many pro-abortion feminists, Feldt claimed that abortion (womens legal ability to kill their unborn babies) is empowering for women as they compete with men for power.
Sex is about power, more than anything else, Feldt said. Thats why I am focused on gender parity, to change the power paradigm of our culture. We need to change the way we think about power as not just a finite pie, but as something we can all utilize to improve the world.
The report continues:
As part of this theme, Feldt discussed the societal progress in gender equality and womens rights that occurred over the course of her career.
This included the passage of Roe v. Wade, a landmark court case that legalized abortion within the United States, and the creation and widespread adoption of new forms of contraception like the birth control pill.
Its about whether women will have an equal seat at lifes table, Feldt said of these advancements. If we cant have control of our own bodies, we cant have control of much else.

On the surface, Feldt sounds like a strong advocate for women. But a closer consideration of what she is saying reveals a demeaning and deadly agenda for women and children. She demeans women by suggesting that women cannot be equal to men unless they can kill their own children.
Ashleen Menchaca-Bagnulo, an assistant professor at Texas State University, recently responded to this dangerous and pervasive idea at The Public Discourse.
Identifying abortion with womens freedom is conceding the idea that male biology and male experience are the paramount ideal for human experience, Menchaca-Bagnulo wrote. freedom does not require women to become like men. The price of freedom should not force us to change something essential about ourselves and our capacities.
Nor should freedom come at the price of ones own children. Yet, this is what pro-abortion feminists openly and proudly advocate for today.
Fathers deserve the equal right to protect their daughters and sons from being killed by their daughters’ and sons’ other parent.
Sitting on your dead infants like a booster seat? That’s quite a visual.
Killing your unborn child gets you a seat at LIFE’S table ? Does not compute.
Motherhood, then, must give women a “superior seat at life’s castle”, for those who are fortunate enough to experience the joys of motherhood.
Sad to think anyone sees abortion as providing benefits to women, but I guess that is the way it is.
So much chaos over abortion at Judge Kavanaugh’s hearing. Which “women’s rights” are they most concerned about:
<><> the right to have her aborted baby’s body part sold off for research?
<><> a women’s right to partial birth abortions whereby half-born babies are suctioned out, their brains and skulls crushed?
<><> a woman might lose the right to have the neck of her aborted baby born alive twisted off to make the body parts saleable?
<><> women might lose the right to the Gosnell technique—sticking a scissor in the neck of an aborted baby born alive to kill it?
<><> the right to have a late term abortion, baby born alive, be abandoned, and left to die all alone in a filthy garbage can?
<><> a woman’s right to have her unborn baby’s remains burned up in “large ovens”?
<><> a woman’s right to have her aborted baby hauled away in a cardboard box to a landfill?

How Hell sold women on the idea that murdering their own children was freedom boggles the mind.
If you’re not ripped to pieces in the womb, you, too, can get to rip others apart in your womb. What a great country!
What a bunch of convoluted BS.
This chick is so self diluted.
There’s no “life table”.
But, women have always had an “equal seat”.
To avoid fatherhood, men have to either use a condom, or abstain.
To avoid motherhood, women have even more options, including the pill, and, abstaining.
Both sexes have to do “something” to avoid unwanted pregnancies.
Women want the easy way...they don’t care if they get pregnant, and then demand that taxpayers pay up to kill the baby.
Taking no responsibility does not furnish you a “place at life’s table”.
What about the murdered girl baby? Is she going to get an equal seat at life’s table. Wait ... not possible. No “life”.
Any nation that condones abortion as a form of birth control is doomed.
Did all those ancient cultures that practiced infanticide give women an equal seat at life’s table?
Actually, it’s keeping your knees together that gives you an ‘equal seat.’
...”Killing your unborn child gets you a seat at LIFES table ? Does not compute.”...
It makes me cringe and think about the Old Testament Days when those who worshiped fake Gods offered up their children as a sacrifice.
How many women have been destroyed in the womb? Thousands? Hundreds of thousands? Millions? Tens of millions?
......Sex is about power, more than anything else, Feldt said. ....
Only in a corrupt culture run by the likes of you, you feminazi POS!!!!
Time to shut your top hole.
Unfortunately, the son of this particular Casey is our senior U.S. Senator and village idiot who goes along with the Planned Parenthood agenda.
FWIW, only the first of our three daughters were ideally planned. #2 and #3 could be considered "accidents" because my wife and I frequently engaged in a certain activity which young married couples often engage in when sharing a bed and hyperactive hormones.
While their births were not convenient nor timed exactly right, they were welcomed and loved because we put the desire to raise children over temporary career and financial aspirations.
