The message is plain and clear. If you will turn away from your conservative values, like McCain did, the media and Democrats will honor you. The media reporting on McCain's death is just as if a very popular president had died. All of the praise and honor is coming from Democrats, but McCain was supposed to be a Republican.
Not stupid on their part, as 90% of elected Republicans are admitted egomaniacs.
It seems some ‘republicans’ are not being honest, and appeal to the “moderate”, or as GWB put it, “compassionate conservative” label to get into office in the party they ideologically oppose.
Then gain approval of the press and get catchy nick names like “Maverick”.
How come there are no “Maverick” democrats? Oh yea,,, those are the uncle tom traitors...
