I would like your thoughts on who first politicized Mollie Tibbetts’ murder. Many of us have been following Tibbetts’ disappearance and have been praying for her safe return. Her body was found on the same day that Manafort was convicted on 8 counts against him and Cohen grabbed headlines with his plea deal. I thought I first heard that woman on MSNBC had said something to the effect that ‘FoxNews isn’t reporting on the Manafort and Cohen legal battles, but instead is paying more attention to ‘some girl in Iowa’. Then Sen Warren said the murder of Mollie Tibbetts was tragic but the legal problems of Manafort and Cohen was much more important. WHO IS POLITICIZING THESE EVENTS?
I somehow doubt that the fact that Mollie was a Bernie SJW factors in to the prayers for her safe return. And apparently now her family is railing against Republicans for ‘politicizing’ her murder. Wow. I guess next time I should ask what political persuasion a missing girl is, before I invest time in praying for her safe return?
Just my IMHO: “politicizing” something is a leftist phrase whose real meaning is: “shut up and stop talking about this because it hurts our side.”
Guess her family still wants illegals to enter the U.S., putting citizens at risk.
Because the Left would never politicize a school shooting.

There’s a FR thread a day or so back “We are all Mollie Tibbets”. Jeez! The comments on that thread! And there was one thread that posted her actual tweets. Hoo Wee! The remarks for her and and against her were way intense!

Anyway, for you to say “it seems that the Left is ALWAYS the side that politicizes EVERYTHING” is incorrect.

It was politicized very quickly.
Locally, a lot of people were asking “Why is one missing white girl such a big deal when we have a bunch of (Fill in the blank) missing also?”
I’m pretty disgusted with the way the entire episode has ended up. That said, she’s obviously just another stupid dead White Girl to the left, even though politically speaking she thought she was one of them.
Not that it will wake up any other young & naive children to the fact that they are being politically played.
And here’s something else that bothers me about the Right politicizing Mollie’s death.
We would not give her a second thought if an average American killed her. Or even a teen.
But because an illegal killed her? Well, we get on our high horse and holler real loud. Despite the fact she leaned left.
I think of Rachel Corrie. She too was a dumb kid. But did she deserve to die?
Many many FReepers would say yes. Yes, she deserved to die. And so we laugh at her. Make pancake jokes and so on.
Both Mollie and Rachel died a senseless and tragic death. But it seems to be to our political advantage to laugh at Rachel and mourn Mollie.

It seems the family is fine with the young woman being murdered if political points can be levied against those who oppose their ideology. This illegal POS is a adopted son. You see this insanity in Europe also. Liberalism is a mental disorder. Society is regressing rapidly. This woman was sacrificed for the cause.
No the Left doesn’t get it both ways. THEY have made everything from Gun Crime to Hurricanes political. NOW that it biting them on the ass, they don’t get to cry about it.
