With reboots being the biggest craze in Hollywood, it might be fun to predict which classic (and not so classic) shows might be rebooted next.
1. Mister/Miss Ed.
In this reboot, the famed talking horse is gender fluid and trans species. On some days, the horse identifies as male, and others as female. He/she/xe also identifies as a cat, a penguin, and a rooster on occasion.
2. Punky Brewster
In this reboot. Punky, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico is separated from her parents at the border. Her parents are deported and Punky is adopted by Henry, her new foster father.
3. Mary Richards
In this remake of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Lena Dunham stars as Mary Richards. Set on election night in 2016, the pilot shows as a staff of journalists coming to grips with the election of Donald Trump.
4. Cheers
In this remake, a group of gay friends gather together at the local gay bar. They must deal with homophobia on a weekly basis. Sam the bartender is gender binary who is addressed as "they" and "them" by "their" colleagues.
5. ER
Set in East Los Angeles, the show features a cast of illegal alien characters who use the local ER as their primary care physician.
6. I Love Lucy
Ricky Ricardo, an undocumented Mexican immigrant and musician, marries Lucy, a transgender aspiring actress. Their landlords are Fred and Ethel, who are undocumented immigrants from Somalia.
7. Saved by the Bell: The Activist Years.
Jessie, Kelly and Lisa, who are now college professors at UCLA, must fight their sexist male fellow professors, who all earn more money than they do.
8. I Married David
Based on the short lived sitcom "I Married Dora." This series features a wealthy man who marries his undocumented housekeeper. This time, the housekeeper is a gay man and MS13 gang member and the two men marry in the pilot.
Jeffersons, it with an ignorant White trash family this time.
Well, I believe he was sometimes played by a zebra.
Get on it Ron Howard!
And you guessed it....
Andy Griffith? What would political correctness and social justice war do to that one?
Who would be the obligatory gay character?
Would Aunt Bee have a wild side we never saw before?
My Mother, The Car
Sonny 2 Cher
A remake of a variety comedy show where a transgender stars while going through his/her transition.
BWHAHAHAHA!
The Dr. Huxtable/Mr. Hyde Show.
Do I really need to describe the plot? Hilarity, shocking graphic rape, and cute dialogue from adorable kids ensues.
Beat me to it.
L
Happened with “Chaz” Bono.
LOL. That’s hilarious.
Room 223
The only room of the high school where kids survived a horrific school shooting and dedicate their lives to fighting for a 100% gun free country.
My Mother The Tesla, except she’ll spontaneous com-bust by the second episode.
My Mother the Yugo
My Mother the Tesla.
The Obama Bunch.
Lost in the Space between Bernie Sanders Ears.
Voyage to the Bottom of the Democrat Party.
The Untouchable Deplorables.
The Illegal Invaders.
Would Aunt Bee have a wild side we never saw before?
Mork and Mindy.
Imagine the squishy social justice warrior explaining to Mork (who is from a contrary society) why he shouldn’t make fun of trannies.
Sh!t...they brought Leia back from the dead in the next movie. Let’s bring back Robin Williams.
Mindy can be Ellen.
They are all still choking on Aunt B’s pickles. No reboot needed.
