I think it's important to remember that these people dont actually care about the economy. What they care about is power and authority to destroy the current order and replace it with a totalitarian utopia. There's not an argument that you can make to penetrate that fog of malicious discontent. The only way to fix this is to defeat them in the elections until they turn violent. And then they and their discredited ideology must be destroyed, outlawed, villified in the eyes of history and then institutionally purged, with extreme prejudice, without compromise and with no quarter.

I sure hope someone comes up with a better idea.
