A 57-year-old man is accused of cruelty and child desertion after witnesses saw him throw his children out of a car and drive away on Rampart Street with one holding onto the bumper Friday night (June 29), according to New Orleans police.
Kenneth Watson was booked into Orleans Justice Center jail the next day on three counts of child desertion and four of cruelty to a child, court records show.
Witnesses told police they saw Watson get out of a car after it stopped suddenly on North Rampart near the intersection of St. Peter Street around 11:30 p.m. Friday and force three children from the car, according to his warrant.

According to the warrant, the children said Watson left them in the car somewhere Uptown while he and the woman, "picked something up." Their father and the women then "took care of adult business," according to the warrant, and when they returned to the car, the children said Watson was drunk.
Watson was angry, the children said, and told them to give him money, before pushing three of them from the vehicle, but kept one in the car because she had money with her, the warrant states.

When I read this I had to laugh. This happened on Friday, which was "govment" check day. He blew through that money fast!!

There are some people who I think I could kill with my bare hands and this is one of them. Those poor kids how horrible for them.

I read he was 57 and immediately thought that the kids were in their 30s and 20s and had never moved out.
But the reality is just terrible....

I was at a parole hearing at the Allen Correctional Center in South Louisiana some years ago. One of the applicants, who looked to be in his mid 40s and had spent most of his adult life in detention, claimed that he had forty (40) children. The prison documents confirmed this. Forty.
He had 4 in the car. No telling how many others he’s left across the landscape. This is the kind of people who prowl the streets of N.O. day and night. They are the majority here-and they know it. Such diversity and ambience everywhere! The kids are doomed from conception. The ‘parents’ should be sterilized.
