COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Police in Cobb County are working to determine how a person died and their body ended up in a beer cooler. A co-worker made the grisly discovery hours before the first pitch at the Braves home game Tuesday afternoon at SunTrust Park.

Cobb County Police said the worker was employed by a third-party contractor. The worker’s body was found in one of the vendor areas. Police said they responded to the stadium around 3:30 p.m. to investigate after receiving a 911.

Investigators are working to determine the nature of the person's death. Detectives would not release late Tuesday evening if they thought it was an accident or if there were signs of foul play citing it was too early in the investigation.

Police said the Atlanta Braves are working with investigators. Braves management declined to comment and referred all questions to police.

Talk about going to the cooler...and grabbing a “stiff drink”!

They tried to save him, but he fought them off bravely. It will take three days to put out the fire from the cremation!

As long as you don’t get enticed by the guy saying “Hey - I know how you can get all the free beer you want!” you should be okay.

Hard to believe the guy could have gotten himself trapped in a cooler - I would think there are all sorts of safety measures for that. Unless he did try to drink a bunch of beer and then passed out.

Man locked in store's beer cooler stays, drinks all night

MARSHFIELD, Wis. — A 38-year-old Wisconsin man who got locked in a convenience store's beer cooler overnight didn't despair: He decided to enjoy the experience, according to police.

The man, whose name was not released, told police that he went to a Kwik Trip here to buy some beer but became trapped inside the walk-in cooler when it was locked at about 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, according to a police report. Rather than bang on the glass door to be let out, he warmed up to the idea of staying inside — where temperatures hover around 32 degrees — all night to sample the merchandise.

A customer told Kwik Trip employees that a man was inside the beer cave at about 5:50 a.m. Wednesday.

When they opened the door, he left the store without paying for what he drank: An 18-ounce bottle of beer and three cans of malt liquor. He also fell over a stack of 30-can beer packs, breaking three cases open.

For his adventure, more because he left the makeshift bar without paying his tab, he was issued a misdemeanor citation for retail theft.

Ever go on a cruise?
Guess where the body of anyone who dies on board goes?

I bet I know who that 3rd party vendor is, they deliver almost all of the booze there.

This is great publicity for the Battery restaurants - just ate there last week too.

A few months ago a girl who was partying too hard got herself locked in a hotel cooler and died. If you pass out or are too intoxicated to open the latch, it can happen.

Old story about a bar employee who got locked inside the walk-in cooler. The escape latch was broke, no one could hear his shouts & banging on the walls, but then he got smart.

He shut off the kegs which supplied the bar taps. Within seconds someone threw open the door.

Charged with misdemeanor theft? Seems to me the store owner should have been charged with false imprisonment.

Maybe he got tired of that Georgia summer heat and crawled inside to cool off.

How do we score this? Is it a hit, a run or an error? Is it foul play? Do the Braves lead the league in dead bodies found in freezer?
