PBSs Judy Woodruff asked former president Bill Clinton Thursday whether he thought it was a good thing that norms have changed when it comes to sexual harassment. Woodruffs example was former Minnesota senator Al Franken being forced to resign his post after accusations that, Woodruff said, were less serious than what happened in the Lewinsky scandal.
"Well, in general, I think it's a good thing, yes," Clinton said about norms changing.
He then proceeded to defend Franken and question the legitimacy of some of the accusations against him.
"I will be honest, he said, the Franken case, for me, was a difficult case, a hard case."
He cited the support Franken received from women at Saturday Night Live and called the first accusations, from radio anchor Leann Tweeden, fantastic.
"There may be things I dont know. But maybe Im just an old-fashioned person, but it seemed to me that there were 29 women on Saturday Night Live' that put out a statement for him, and that the first and most fantastic story was called, I believe, into question," he said.

I long for the day when no one gives a rip what anyone named Clinton has to say about anything.
L
and that the first and most fantastic story was called, I believe, into question,” he said.
The first story was called into question? Wasn’t Leanne Tweeden, the first one, the one where there’s a picture of Franken squeezing her breasts? Clinton is saying that situation was called into question? Really??
I think it’s funny that, Bill Clinton is supposedly on a book tour for this book he helped write, but almost all of the commentary involves Clinton talking about Monica Lewinsky and sex harrassment issues.
I must say, I don’t even know what Clinton’s book is about. Whatever they want to say about the book is getting lost in the discussion of Clinton’s past behavior and views on those issues now.
Franken had to go. He set up Sessions in hearings based on things leaked to him from Obama’s surveillance on the Trump campaign. Franken had to be shut up and run out of town.
“SNL Women Defended Him”
A ringing endorsement.
can you provide a link or post the photo of him squeezing breasts? Thanx.
I’m sure superdelegate Al Franken’s early endorsement of Crooked Hillary wasn’t mentioned.
yeah sure bill- i’m sure it was real ‘difficult’ for franken to fondle a sleeping woman
The gift that keeps giving. Like herpes.
BJ sure Is in the news a lot these days. Which is far better than having his wife whine and moan and groan about her election laws all the time.
Hey! Im no one and I dont give a crap what a Clinton says.
you’ll get in 2 posts...lol..do you need the story that goes with it too?
just the photo of the grope. Never saw it. Thanx.
I remember when all the women in the Whitehouse, Mad Albright, Janet Reno, staffers, etc., came out and defended Bill Clinton against these false allegations.
Those photos and videos don’t seem to exist anymore on the Web.
“Clinton defends Franken...”
Birds of a feather....
Clinton is still as slippery and greasy as ever.
