REYNOSA, Tamaulipas Convoys of cartel gunmen clashed in a Mexican neighborhood immediately south of a U.S. wildlife refuge. The fierce gun battle went on for more than an hour and reached an international bridge zone that connects this city with Pharr, Texas. What irritates me is that the drug addicts and users in this country are what keeps these guys in dough and keeps them killing each other and a whole lot of innocents. The war on drugs has failed!
This is what happens when ordinary citizens are mostly not allowed to have guns. The old cliché is true, “ When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns!”.
I sure hope those in high levels of government have not been on the take and being paid off. Seems odd, pre-Trump era the government had zip zero intentions of securing our borders. It was as if they wanted to keep those supply lines open at all costs.
Yeppers.
Can you imagine the effect on the Left if the cartels showed up in some Mexican town for a gang turf war only to discover heavily armed locals organized and determined to make sure no cartel thug lived to see sunset?
Can you imagine if it was a US town?
... same with street gangs in places like Chicago, but that would take black neighborhoods really really turning against the gangs no matter whose precious baby they might have once been....

We can call it ‘The Magnificent Seven’ of course need the Brynner, McQueen, Wallach version though...
All my drug money is spent on caffeine and Zyrtec! :-D
Maybe we should give them enough time to kill each other, reduce the population of Mexico a bit without them just coming here.
Already been happening for a while, but the US media ignores the story.

An incident like this, that kills a border agent, should result in a few predator drones making hacienda calls.

In actual fact, this did happen just a few years ago in a Mexican community. The citizens illegally smuggled guns in from the USA and drove the cartels out. The Mexican government didn’t dare prosecute them so they offered to make the armed citizens members of the Mexican army reserve. Don’t know what happened after that.
