For the royal lunchtime reception, the bowl food part of the menu included:
-Fricassee of free range chicken with morel mushrooms and young leeks
-pea and mint risotto with pea shoots, truffle oil and parmesan crisps
-10-hour slow roasted Windsor pork belly with apple compote and crackling
All the ingredients have been sourced from companies holding a royal warrant.
Do they use itty bitty forks?
Chicken Fricassee is defined as humble French comfort food that everyone’s grandmother makes. Well, that sure did press the talents of palace chefs.
Peas and rice, yawn. Parmesan chips is nothing but nuked cheese which William and Kate’s toddlers could master.
Wow, put a pork belly in the oven and forget about it over night. Doesn’t almost everyone serve apples with pork? More an autumn dish than springtime. And cracklings, hahahahaha! So very royal wedding-ish, not.
