I don’t know about his not clapping, but it could be that at his age his arthritis made it too hard for him to stand.

In Tucson, Arizona yesterday, at Mass, the Church Choir sang America the Beautiful. Hardly any of the congrgation sang along. Diversity City. Welcoming immigrants city.
