It is difficult to understand what is going on there ... except that ISIS is bad, Iran is bad, and the forces put forth by Hillary/Obama/McCain (the “White helmets”) are highly suspect.

There is also the fact that Assad protected Christians, until the country erupted in civil war as part of the RATS’ Arab Spring.

I hesitated to mention the White Helmats because it really upset me to know we supported them and what their real purpose was in Syria. We have some really evil people doing evil under our countries name and honor. Now we know why the Syrian people hate us and it will take action for them to see how great our President is..but even more important he follows through what he promises.

In history, when a country is conquered one either destroys the ruling elite and educated/religious class in its entirety and replaces with conquering theology and leadership or one leaves the figureheads in place that play ball, leave religion and education alone (establishing new educational philosophy) and leave the common man to live out his years a citizen of the new state.

I believe Assad found and conducted himself largely as the second type of ruler always balancing between with a very firm hand. Left each community to their own as long as they were productive Syrians first.

Just my view from the outside looking in. NIKKs posts from within Syria seem to reflect that view IMO.
