I still remember what happened to US when we were sorta kinda on the gold standard-People demanded to be paid in gold, when we bought from them. However, they would pay us in dollars for their purchases - so there went the gold.
From what I've read about the economy in China and Russia, it might be a while yet before people decide they want to invest in that currency vs the dollar. Might be that the demise of the dollar is premature.
After looking at Trumps reorganization plans, I'm hopeful that budget deficits will be better, and maybe even start to pay down the debt sometime during His Presidency.
IMO POTUS only agrees to an interview with Mueller if they ask/answer under oath tit for tat. Mueller asks POTUS about Russian collusion, POTUS asks Mueller about Uranium 1 etc.

That’s right. The U.S. dollar is is circulated through Mideast oil and back to the U.S., where it goes into government bond market and other investments—still the safest by far offering a good return. The Mideast and all of world trade that supports this system is protected by the U.S. Navy and other military including Spacecom.
In a very real sense, that Mideast oil is our oil, since it can only be traded for U.S. dollars, and most of the governments are propped up by U.S. power.
Trump also understands how the precarious economy of China is totally dependent on access to U.S. markets not to mention Mideast oil.
In business, this is referred to as LEVERAGE.

The Chinese also understand the relationship between money and brute force, and they are in it for the long game. China is labor-rich, and fairly resources rich. They have been outstanding in filling the "know how" component.

GMTA!! That is what I have been saying too. Not completely ruling out white hats, but just not seeing how the dry cleaners got to them and did such a thorough job. Somebody show me that and I’m all over it, but right now I’m seeing leveraged to the hilt. Don’t care about color of the hat. Can be fascia and puce plaid for all I care!
