Ancient Roman portrait busts, the paintings of Antonio del Pollaiuolo, Sandro Botticelli, Gentile Bellini, Leonardo da Vinci, and Raphael, and the portrait busts of Giovanni Lorenzo Bernini.
The music combines parts of Pavana Alla Venetiana and O Mia Cieca E Dura Sorte from the Early Venetian Lute Music album, available from Amazon.
And does anyone know why Bellini's figures' hats go up in the back? It's driving husband crazy.

I don't think anyone really knows why the odd back, but according to wiki, thought to have become associated with freedom.
PING
Thank you.
Very strange outfits. At first, I thought the strings they tie under their chins were scratches in the paintings. At least they kept their ears warm.
It is fun to observe the evolution of fashion through these paintings. Thank you, mairdie, for another great video and music.
I’m fascinated by the hair. The styles are SO elaborate. Reminds me of Yeoman Rand on Star Trek. And the fabrics! You can feel them. I keep wondering how they cleaned them.
I am sure the aristocracy would change clothing many times over a week, the undergarments were washed by the servants. The people kept themselves rather clean with daily ablutions and weekly baths. For those elegant clothes, maybe they would just air them and discard when soiled. Rather fascinating subject. You got me curious.
THAT was WONDERFUL! Thank you.
These are beautiful as always.
I posted this on another site and told people to ‘like’ you on YouTube.
I hope you don’t mind.
Your compositions are just so relaxing and lovely that I thought others should see them.
You are so very kind, Gingersnap. My deepest thanks. I’m not on any of the Facebook, Twitter, etc sites, so the videos have limited visibility, and I deeply appreciate when they spread.
As for relaxing, I just turned 14 going on 12 and fell totally for the Chinese actor, Bai Yu, who plays the chief of investigation in Guardian and tried the art approach on images of him from an awful show where he looks the same as he did in Guardian. Only better dressed. This vid is also infinitely relaxing. I play it at 3am most nights and giggle.
He’s very handsome.
He’s more handsome when he shaves.
Boys, either grow it out or shave it off. You’ll look great either way but make a decision. None of that half way stuff!
