I looked at the image and thought it might be alternating tin beds of hard rock and soft rock (say sandstone and siltstone) that are tipped near vertical and then weather out to cause linear depressions.
The above link says that they are sand dune features - so the dry (and light-colored) hills, and the wetter, greener (darker) troughs. Still though - very cool looking.
That is one possible interpretation, but they are way too straight and regular for that.
It is also possible that this is very very old sign of a long-gone civilization.
