That guy also told me he was working late outside Ike’s HQ rigging some lines...working by himself. Ike came sauntering out, made some small talk then went inside the tent or shack...whatever it was. I believe it was Christmas Eve.

Eisenhower came back outside with a bottle of whiskey and both of them knocked back a couple...just the two of them.
