Generally it’s for the benefit of some Corporation/Business Buddies of whatever group is in power-generally under direction of CFR to a certain extent.
Think how many trillions of dollars have been hoovered out of people’s pockets worldwide due to the oil price increases since the Shah’s fall. Of course TPTB would love to keep THAT game going.
