Don’t be too sure of that. My husband who is elderly and sick is unable to wear normal shoes - wears sandals and he wouldn’t dream of going without socks.
I am always impressed with anyone having to do anything the Entertainment Industry! (Do Is really need a sarcasm tag???) Most actors were barely able to graduate from high school. Their political opinions are worth zero to me.

Who wore the extra tight sweatpants - obozo or his wife? Must be his wife as I never saw pictures of him in them and really, I never saw a picture of her wearing sandals and socks.

I would suspect that the majority of them are elderly and sometimes it’s just more convenient...My husband can’t put his normal shoes on and he has to recline in his chair with his feet elevated for me to do it because I can’t bend over to do much of anything. Sandals aren’t as difficult to put on. A sad pair of old folks!!
