Yesterday ESPN debuted a brand new insanely expensive new WokeCenter AM show starring Mike Greenberg, Michelle Beadle and Jalen Rose. That trio of talent will be making just shy of $15 million a year and ESPN also poured tens of millions of dollars into their brand new studio as well.
As if that werent enough ESPN also spent millions and millions of dollars promoting the new show and rolled out their entire marketing platform to ensure viewers were aware the show was launching.
And, well, the shows officially already ratings disaster.

Soros digging deep to continue his assault on freedom.
Yawn - ignore the losers...
‘prima donna Social Justice Warrior (SJW) Michelle Beadle being a co-host.’
who...?
Never heard of this beyotch . . . but but but . . just lookit the DIVERSITY
According to the stats....there were 283,000 people who watched it. If after four weeks....they sit at the same level, I’d go ahead and cancel the show.
Who? What? There’s was a new show on some channel nobody watches and nobody watched it?
Color me shocked.................
trey wingo is a far left winger- don’t be fooled...
I have no sympathy for ESPN here. They should have hired Megyn Kelly when they had the chance.
“trio of talent”? WTF!
“Woke”. I love that word currently being used in the Negroid context. Rhymes with “yoke”. And “coke”. As in “I’m on coke and I woke and you I gonna yoke.
Beadle is horrible, and Greenberg is just plain irritating. I guess Jalen Rose is the token ex-jock who also flies the SJW flag. Gotta wonder how many ABC/ESPN execs and consultants it took to come up with that winning line-up. And I’d love to see the focus group data—I’ll bet the go-ahead was based solely on the reaction of younger demos, specifically millennials. Can’t imagine anyone over, say, 35, going for that kind of program.
Greenberg and Golic were successful on the radio (in part) because ESPN’s clout allowed them to attract high-profile guests and commentators. They also benefitted from the fact that, in many markets, they were the only local morning sports show, backed by the promotional and marketing muscle of ESPN.
The network will probably give it a year to “find an audience,” then pull the plug. Can’t imagine how this type of show will succeed. ESPN is living proof you can kill the golden goose.
A few weeks ago I was at the gym mid-afternoon and ESPN was playing on the locker room TV. There was a lengthy commercial for burial insurance. Not life insurance, insurance specifically designed to cover funeral expenses. All the actors looked to be 70+. I remember wondering who is the audience for a show with such a sponsor. Certainly not young people, the sought-after “demo”.
People are tired of politics.
Greenberg and Golic seem to have had a Martin and Lewis type breakup.
Golic’s new show lacks a little. Wingo is likable enough, but Golic Jr. is a douche. Overall, the program is watchable while I get dressed in the morning, and not horribly far off the Mike and Mike path.
Greenberg, Beadle and Rose? Seriously? Nope. Never.
But, they do have their diversity chops, a Jew, a manly woman, and a black basket baller who almost speaks English.
“Greenberg and Golic were successful on the radio (in part) because ESPNs clout allowed them to attract high-profile guests and commentators ...”
One of the things that I liked about Mike&Mike is that it wasn’t all about the “gotcha”. They had guests on, and it was a very friendly, non confrontational environment.
HAHAHAHA!
They actually did think they could play off on "woke."
Yet more proof the proglibs are pretty dim.
But I state the obvious...
.
WokeCenter? Talk about a SJW dog whistle.
Rose is a white hating racist.Beadle is so dumb she tried to bonk Aaron Rogers. Greenie doesn’t deserve this two losers!
That is Clay Travis’ satirical name for the show.
