Trump has no patience for the machinations of that bloated bureaucracy. He’d rather do it himself. Also, maybe the guy wasn’t draining the State swamp fast enough. Either way, I like it.

I think Tillerson was doing a good job at gutting State department. Maybe he was hired to be hatchet man, now time to calm the place.
