Customers like guns too. But, these are CELEBRITIES and they know better!
“the producer or director demanded the nudity and sex scenes”
This has the ring of truth to it. Where is there any evidence the public demands it. I think that is BS.
Cause in 2018 it’s SO DIFFICULT to see any sex, nudity and ANY OTHER insane thing one can think of at home! :)
Actually we got along just fine without the overt sex scenes back until 1968 when in the anti-violence hysteria, movie companies said they would “police themselves” with a joke of a ratings system. After that they reshot scenes to add blood and guts along with lots of total nudity to grab the coveted “R” rating.
Soon movie posters were proclaiming their movie was ...”SO BOLD IT HAD TO BE RATED “XXX”!
Put out a call to that guy in Ray Stevens’ song “Hello Martha”
Nudity and sex sell but so do wholesome movies without it. Witness just how many folks stay home today compared to a few decades ago.
I used to go to 3 - 4 movies each week; now, if I can find that many worth my time in a year, Im lucky.
My desire for movies havent changed, movies have!
