Billy Graham as a guest on What's My Line?, October 9, 1960.
Fantastic! Thanks for that!
They say the past is a different country, and they are right.
Thank you so much for sharing. Must admit the man who revealed the mystery guest was very apropos. Even he realized that fact. :-)
Here's a full show, minus commercial breaks, that has Bishop Fulton J. Sheen as the mystery challenger -- also fun. The best part, however, is the last challenger who recalls David Niven's past. (Niven was a guest panelist.)
There’s a video out there of Billy Graham as a guest on Woody Allen’s talk show.
Im guessing its the late 60’s or early 70’s
Allen was perfectly civil, Graham was charming and both were funny. Indeed it was a different country.
Nice!
Thanks. Knew the man; wished others to view the video before giving the clue: Apropos... Bishop/Reverend.... same profession.
:-)
Dr. Graham once held a crusade at Yankee Stadium during the summer. The ballpark marquee read somewhat like this:
FRI SAT SUN
BILLY GRAHAM
NEXT WEEK
THE ANGELS
I remember when Jimmy Carter appeared on that show and Kitty Carlisle’s guess was that he recruited nuns.
That is precious!! What a great sign! Thank you for posting this.
