Grab the popcorn. Hostilities between feminists and transsexual militants are heating up. Feminists don’t want men pretending to be women swimming in a girls-only pond on London’s Hampstead Heath:
Members of the Mayday 4 Women group picketed a meeting of the Kenwood Ladies’ Pond Association who held a closed meeting to discuss the situation.
The pond is still for officially for women only, but it all depends on what the word “women” means. It is considered transphobic to say that it means “women.”
The City of London Corporation who are responsible for the facility said self-identifying trans women were now welcome to use the pond and the female changing rooms.
“Self-identifying trans women” refers to men who dress like Corporal Klinger.
‘We are working with the LGBTQ community to ensure our facilities are fit to serve the needs of everyone who enjoys them, and will continue to do so in the future.’
By “everyone,” they mean weirdos. Normal people get it in the neck, as always when it comes to matters of diversity.
In December, feminist writer Julie Bindell who has swam at the pond for more than 30 years told the Mail on Sunday: ‘It is totally unacceptable to allow men who identify as women, but who are otherwise male bodied and socialised as men, to be in a women-only space. I have seen mothers bring their young daughters who are self-conscious about their bodies but want to feel good about swimming and exposing their skin to the sun. The last thing they want is to look behind them and see a male-bodied person pretending to be a woman in order to gawp at them.’
Moonbattery has consequences — and not many of them are pleasant.
They asked for ‘equality’. They got it.

That’s what’s so delicious about it. They are right to oppose it but it completely messes up their “intersectionality”.
Just change it from “girls-only pond” to “vagina-only pond”. If discrimination based on self-selected gender is ok, then discrimination based on observable biology should be ok.
If you’re going to discriminate against about 50% of the population be precise in the favored/discriminated groups. “girl” used to have a well defined meaning but liberals have undefined it. “vagina” still means the same thing to everyone (for now).
I’d rather get back the meaning of girl/woman/female, but that genie isn’t going back in the bottle. For now though we can have “penis rooms” and “vagina rooms” (or ponds) and nobody can argue about which type of toilet they want to use or which genitalia they want to see when swimming/showering. Doesn’t matter what’s in anyone’s mind, they do/don’t have a penis/vagina. Those who have both can use either and are able to back is up with biology.

I’m sure that British slang offers more entertaining descriptors that could be used for “observable biology”. The rest of the world may wonder what they’re talking about, though.
