Did he have Social Security? Did anyone cash the checks?

Social Security now is all direct deposit I believe.

That’s how my 84 year old neighbor died, working in his lawn.

This is really sad. It made me wonder......will people ever buy a house where someone inside has been dead for years???

Probably. If the price is right.

You are absolutely correct. Have moved a lot and left behind some great and not so great neighbors. Thankfully, I have adult sons & daughters. Of course, they work and live a fair distance but do visit for vacations etc.,

It must be very difficult for senior singles with no children or close family members. Senior living complexes are very expensive, but they offer social contacts and activities.

God bless

According to my realtor - a seller must disclose if someone has died in the home. You are not required to disclose if your house has been burglarized. Buyers and their agents should also do ‘due diligence’.

Rules may vary by State of course.

This scenario seems to be playing out more and more often.

More victims of the breakdown of the family.

Yep - I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather did - not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car....

“According to my realtor - a seller must disclose if someone has died in the home.”

As you said, it varies by state. Here in TN, it isn’t a thing. When we sold in CA, I think that was on the form.

I guess I wouldn’t care if someone died in a house. On our family farm where Mom lives, several generations have been born, lived, and died, in the place. I don’t think weird stuff happens there.

Financially, if you could get a fantastic house for half price due to a ghastly murder having taken place there 40 years ago, I’d want to. But spiritually, I couldn’t. I have had those vibes hit me walking into a place where something bad had happened and I didn’t know it. But I was so creeped out without knowing why, that I had to leave and make my companion leave. So no, I couldn’t take advantage of that discount.

But I bet he never missed turning up at the polls for each election.

That’s odd. The Virginia voting records show that the r3sident at this address has voted (Democrat) in every election for the last 10 years.

This is what will happen to my BIL.
Worthless life, no family, once his moms gone nobody will be left to date.
Saved all his money, still lives in moms house. Contributes absolutely nothing.
The 54 YO millionaire weirdo in moms attic.
Government job, and a very non essential sponge of the tax payers.
What a life. He is just a happy asperger socially 5 year old weirdo.
I must be jealous...naw, wouldn’t trade places ever...nope, not ever.
His life seems very, very pointless to me.

Did he not have a lawn that needed mowing? Or a car that was parked at the same spot for years?

Realtors also have to disclose if the house is haunted.

He might have died years ago but I’ll bet he’s been voting Democrat for all those years!

Social security, if he was collecting it, is direct deposited.
