I haven’t watched one second of the Olympics and have no plans to change that. How were we punked by the Un woman at the Olympics? What does that have to do with our government?
I’ve heard NBC and CNN have slobbered all over Un, but that’s NBC and CNN who i believe are vying to be the first US bureau in Pyongyang.

USA always annihilates the rest of the world in the summer Olympics.
Not so in the winter Olympics: we have teeny welfare state countries like Norway (5.3 million population) and Netherlands (17 million population) kicking our butts on the medal count.
The Canadian chick who just skated had terrible music, I hated it. Minus twenty points!!!!

Re; toe pics...yes, some of them are important, but that first one, that big one..that one had to go. I’m thinking of taking a few lessons just to learn how to do the backward cross stroke thingy...I was going to put a rink in my yard this year, and now I’m glad I didn’t. We had like a solid week of melting weather...I would have been very upset. So next year, I will plan better, and hopefully still be feeling good enough to skate.
I don’t like skating indoors, it just feels unnatural to me. We have a great indoor rink, I guess, I’ve never been there. I go to a city park with a little warming hut and no zamboni..it’s like “skate or die”! It’s a blast.
OMG, I think I’m going to scream. The men’s downhill was cancelled as the opening alpine ski event on Sunday. Wind gusts were dangerous, up to 72 mph. No one’s saying when the downhill will be rescheduled. Mehhhh......

Even indoors for me right now it is like skate or die. I wish I could take a class. No time. So I’m trying to relearn. It’s so fun. Hope I get on the ice tomorrow. I’d love a rink in the yard. I remember when my little son came to me with a catalog showing me you could buy this thing and use your hose and make an ice rink in your backyard. Poor kid. How couId explain to him that no, not in SoCal, the water would not “simply freeze into ice overnight!”

I used to live in France so I thought it was super cool. Also the one who skated to the French version of the old classic song “If You Go Away.”
I think his commentary is usually pretty on. I’m no expert though.

Japanese pair short program was tragic, they chose beautiful music and they had an elegant style—but they made lots of mistakes. Costumes were ok.
Apparently Bob Costas is sitting out these Olympics with those awful up-close-and-personal segments which repeated frequently enough that was almost no time left for sports.
My wife just informed me that he got caught up in the #metoo movement.
