A 13-year-old girl fell to her death from a popular narrow trail bordered by steep drops at Zion National Park, officials said Tuesday.
The Utah girl was hiking with family when she tumbled from the Angel's Landing Trail on Monday evening, park ranger John Marciano said. She was quickly discovered by hikers on the West Rim Trail below.
Angel's Landing was closed Tuesday morning to investigate the fall from the path that ascends some 1,500 feet (457 meters) above the southern Utah park's red-rock cliffs. There has been about one death each of the last two

Back in 1999 I went on a business trip to Toronto and out hosts took me and my boss to a Blue Jays game and out to dinner and asked if we wanted to go up in the CN Tower. No thanks. I hate bridges too. But the funny thing is I love flying.
Walked the Kaibob and Bright Angel Trails in Grand Canyon down to the river and back up.
No handrails, nothing but air and rocks between you and the river a mile below.
Did the same thing 25 years ago...
Only a couple hours down, but I barely made it back out by dusk. That was quite the hike.
Well, I was 14 at the time. So figure I was a few years earlier than you - maybe 1969-70 at the time.
Can you imagine 15 miles hike with a harness on.
Moving the double-tie-off lanyard clips every twelve feet? 8<)
