Washington (CNN)An emergency alert notification sent out on Saturday claiming a "ballistic missile threat inbound to Hawaii" was a false alarm, according to state leaders and emergency officials.
"BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO HAWAII. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL," the emergency alert read. While the message caused concern on social media, the Hawaii Office of Emergency Management quickly responded on Twitter, saying, "NO missile threat to Hawaii."

According to a post on Facebook, at least one Whorellyweird elite already blamed Trump. Jamie Lee Curtis went on a hate-filled rant against Trump blaming him for the entire thing. So much for her.

Back in the 1970’s the emergency alert was sent out to all radio and television stations in the country on a Saturday morning with some stations taking it as true and others waiting for more info.
Automation was not the norm in radio back then so real people made decisions based on the info sent out by the wire services.
There were some scary moments.

I was Command & Control in AF for 24 years and this stuff happens perodically during exercises. I saw it happen twice, one time Reagen was woken and the other time the White House Sit Room had the sense to double check it before waking him again. Truth is I would rather get a false alarm than not get a warning during a real threat because of a fear of making a false alarm by the guy responsible
Where are you going to hide on an island when the blast radius is about twice the size of your land mass? I’m going there in April. My Plan ... when the alert goes off, find the nearest bar and order a double. Might as well go happy.
The President would at this very moment be undergoing being pilloried, castigated and beaten to a pulp every minute for the next three days...then impeachment would be called for.
But since the leftist media and the Swamp are forever playing or NOT playing the race card, not a hair of anyone in charge in the Hawaiian government will be seriously touched in regards to this missile incident.
