The Miss America Organization board of directors has voted to suspend CEO Sam Haskell one day after HuffPost published internal emails showing Haskell disparaging and commenting crudely on the appearances of women who had competed in the pageant to other members of the organization.
"The Miss America Organization Board of Directors today voted to suspend Executive Chairman and CEO Sam Haskell. Mr. Haskell, in support of the organization, has agreed to abide by the Board's decision," a spokesperson for the organization said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on Friday. "The Board will be conducting an in-depth investigation into alleged inappropriate communications and the nature in which they were obtained. In addition, the Board wishes to reaffirm our commitment to the education and empowerment of young women, supporting them in every way possible."

He doesn’t look like the kind of guy who’s into “fish.”
I’m guessing the comments were “bitchy”, if you catch my drift.
I was once associated with a pageant. It’s not pretty, no matter how attractive the wimmin.
Definetly catch your drift. Are there no civilized people left anywhere in the entertainment industry? Where *do* they dig up these classless morons?
LOL!
Let me guess....the CEO is a puffer.
“I’m Fabulous!”
I worked as a 20 year old doing tech work at my college theater. we did lot of beauty pageants. The crew was very vulgar in the way we talked about the parents and kids that were involved. this was 30 years ago but I found that everyone involved were treating theses 16-18 years old kids as if they were a commodity. this included the judges and sponsors of the pageants. don’t have kids but would discourage any daughter or friends daughter in being involved with them because of how slimy I found those who sought out being involved with them were.
One of my classmates in college won the Miss New Jersey pageant in 1977.
She resigned her crown before the Miss America pageant because she was getting all these phone calls from creepy older men offering her about $1,000/night (in today’s dollars) for her services.
A good rule of thumb - never say anything in emails, text messages and social media posts that you would be ashamed to say in public. There’s always a risk that it will, in fact, become public.

Funny movie.
