More speed athletes in LA.
Kelly will have his work cut out for him.
It’s where Kelly belongs - in the NCAA and in the Pac-12. He’ll excel there as he did at Oregon.
After Frost rejects UF in favor of Nebraska, I predict Spurrier will be the next UF coach.
Spurrier is 72. I’m sure he can do the job. Shouldn’t it go to some younger up-and-comer?
So you can buy a good coach....how is that a reflection on the relevance or greatness of a university? Whatever happened to a school having a philosophy that developed great coaching and teaching in house...and then conquered the world? Not to mention Kelly was let go from philly and san fran as his most recent gigs...plus at Oregon hw would just outscore you...but his defensesive teams were just about slightly better than average. If he stays long enough maybe he can build a legacy...but suspect if he is successful...he will leave to $greener$ pastures...and the recycling of coaches will continue...
If that happens that will be the third time the Gators had to go with option 3 for a ball coach.
You can get by with gimmicks in college football that you can’t in the NFL.
Does UCLA still have a football program for him to be head coach of?
Who would’ve thought?
For the first season at least, a lot will depend on whether or not Rosen stays.
The Old Ball Coach?! How old is he now?
It’s the Saban Effect. The SEC can’t attract decent coaches because they know Bama is going to dominate.
He will do well in the NFL, if he stays healthy (he seems injury prone).
I wish he would. I love Spurrier. Hell, let’s bring back Fulmer in Knoxville & make it fun again.
You know how far the UF-FSU has fallen when frickin’ Beth Mowen is announcing the game.
Les Miles still hanging around.
But hey, how about our Basketball team....great game last night against Gonzaga, we get the Dukies tomorrow.
Back in the days when USC under John McKay battled UCLA under Tommy Prothro, half of the fans in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum would be wearing Cardinal and the other half baby blue. Last week, when the Trojans and the Bruins squared off, the Coliseum was, for the most part, a sea of Cardinal, with a small section containing about a fifth of the fans wearing baby blue.
