This holiday season, Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputies will place decoy holiday gift packages in front of homes to nab thieves. Which holiday do they mean? Holiday gift packages... Veterans Day maybe?

My friends’ neighborhood watch came up with a brilliant way to get porch thieves to leave packages alone: put out faux packages filled with rubbish. I would also add used kitty litter. Thieves take packages home and get a lovely surprise.
