Liberals only jumped on to something that sounded cool, conservative successful women have been keeping their own names for 40 years. To me the hyphenated stuff is silly but people make their own choices.

That was the case here - we flew for the same airline (and always in the same airplane and in the same seat). Not to mention the confusion of having two of us in the same house would have been a nightmare for the crew desk.
And as for being lefties - we just completed finding a 6 figure scholarship at Hillsdale College that bears BOTH our names.

My first name with my husband’s last name is the same as another woman in this town. Which created some hiccoughs. The oddest one was when code enforcement (I worked for city government at the time) asked my boss if I was also running an unlicensed daycare center. Why yes I have the little darlings stashed under the desk while I do my “official bizness”. They were serious.
