"perceive her husband as being more feminine and less masculine."Unless you trade it for leaving the seat up.

It is not true in all cases, but a woman with a hyphenated last name is almost always a moonbat. And if her husband does the hyphenated last name thing it is because she wears his family jewels as earrings.

I married my wife in '75, she kept her name, I kept mine. We were young, naïve and Democrats. Now we are older, wiser, Republicans, she still has her name and I still have mine.
Meanwhile we have had 39 wonderful years together.

When our daughter got married, her husband asked if he could change his last name to ours. He was adopted and did not care for his adopted name “Lurch”.
We consented.

researchers found that when a woman chooses not to take her husbands surname after marriage, people perceive her husband as being more feminine and less masculine. Because it's true.

My view has always been, and remains to this day - a very simple view.
If a woman refuses to take her husband’s name; this says that she views this marriage as a “temporay” arrangement, and sees keeping her last name, as just a means to make the divorce that much easier.
So, why would a man want to enter into a “lifelong” arrangement, with a woman who already has one foot out the door?

Those same women, on the other hand, are regarded to yield more power and to be more self-focused, ambitious and assertiveI'll play. I view them as likely cheaters not committed to their marriage. Why not pick a third last name for their kids and make it really confusing.
