The Al Franken scandal was briefly covered on Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" segment. And considering it's SNL, they were surprisingly tough on him. Video is at the link.

Heard a bit of it on the radio. The little I heard focused on the photo. Jokes were funny. (“I know this photo looks bad. But remember, it is bad.” and “While it was taken before running for Senator, it was taken after his sophomore year of high school.”) But delivered with none of the gusto reserved for Republicans/Conservatives.
Stupid.
They tied all of this in with Trump. Bashed Trump on the opening and the black hip hop singer sang a song calling Obama to take back the Presidency.

I stopped watching SNL before it became Air America. Lame political slams disguised as jokes aimed at Republicans only.

I didn’t see the opening, as I refuse to watch SNL anymore. But I’m not a bit surprised that they’d start the show by bashing Trump.
I can across the Al Franken segment by accident while surfing around Youtube. And I’ve got to say, they were tough on him. I expected some sort of: “It’s no big deal. After all, Al Franken is a comedian”. But nope, they came out swinging. For SNL, it’s rather amazing.
I couldn’t finish it. It’s just more anti-Trump propaganda, intended to spread more absolute lies under the guise of “comedy.” Unfortunately, the brain-dead half of our country just assumes all of the “news” they’re making fun of is real - and, hey, it’s “cool” to buy into their smarmy attitude, isn’t it? Repeat after me: Trump sucks! Liberals are great! Trump sucks! Liberals are great!

Not bad. I’m sad about Jeremy Piven though. I knew he was a player, didn’t know he assaulted. You have to know going in when you watch SNL that they will be Trump bashing and that they believe Trump won because Russia.

I hear you. I should have mentioned that the Al Franken bit ends at the 1:10 mark. After that, it’s back to the Trump-bashing.
