I can be confident that I will never experience “run rage.”
Since I do a mean 11 minute mile, I have my doubts that I will ever enter a race competition.
I truly do not understand people who enjoy running.

I’ve never understood it, either! Yes, walk! Stay active! Chop wood, Carry water!
I was in the Army for, for-ever and I hated every MINUTE that I had to run, whether training for, or enduring, a fitness test each year. 4am 5 mile runs? TORTURE! Or the REALLY, ‘fun’ runs in full gear.
I mean, I could DO it, but I sure didn’t WANT to, LOL!
The sit-ups and push-ups? Easy Peasy. Again, Chop wood, Carry water. ;)
It’s all about endorphins.
When I gave up smoking I started running to burn off the excess energy. I ended up running 21 marathons, 2 ultras, and I don’t know how many 5 and 10K’s.
The only one’s who got my “rage” up were fat asses in cars who would cut in front of me to make a turn (almost hitting me). Another time I remember running in a tire track in a snow covered road and a motorist expected me to divert into 8” deep snow so she could get by. My brandished set of keys convinced her to give me space.
Long distance running is addictive but you have to be in shape to get there. As for rage there is plenty of room for runners and others so long as everyone has manners.
I wouldn’t mind joining a race. I just wouldn’t expect to win with my awesome 11-12 minute mile.
