Mitch McConnell praises Edward Kennedy in Boston

The Republican leader of the Senate told a crowd gathered on Sunday at the institute honoring one of the chamber’s most liberal members that the late Edward M. Kennedy’s skills as a legislator are the kind needed to help the fractious body learn to once again cooperate.

Majority leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky said Kennedy was someone who could separate the personal from the political and who stayed true to his word. Those are characteristics that will help the body function better in the future, and there are already signs of progress, McConnell said.

“A real sense of renewal is taking hold in the Senate,” McConnell told a crowd of about 200 people gathered at the first lecture in a series titled “Getting to the Point” at the newly opened Edward M. Kennedy Institute, which sits on Columbia Point in Dorchester next to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library.

This article is from 2015. I posted it to show what a sleaze McConnell is, as if we didn't know. He criticizes Judge Moore based on an accusation from 40 years ago, but has no problem lauding Ted Kennedy, whose actions while drunk, killed a person.

And not to mention his many (likely) dalliances while still married to Joan, eh? I believe that I heard that her drinking problem was made that much worse by Ted running around.

Kennedy should have been charged with manslaughter... Moore faces NO charges.

Oh, I see. Moore's shortcoming is not letting the potential accuser drown. If he had handled his dalliances like a murderous brute, he'd be a hero. Also, a real man would have actually had sex with her, even if it meant rape. Got it.

Too bad McTurtle wasn’t invited to visit the nearby area of Savin Hill in Dorchester. Or, as the locals call it, “Stab and Kill”.

I’m sure McConnell will eventually recommend alleged human trafficker Bob Menendez to the Pope for sainthood. But ol’ Royboy Moore will get no such recommendation from the depraved post turtle.

What about the presumption of being innocent until proven guilty.

Mitch McConnell should resign for ignoring the rule of law.
