Paddock's motive--What if his ultimate goal was to hurt the Casino INDUSTRY?
10/3/2017 | Self--vanity

So far, nobody seems to be able to come up with any motive at all as to why Paddock would do this. Could Paddock have become so sociopathic that he would slaughter and wound hundreds of innocent people, specifically to harm or get back at the casino industry? Maybe so. We're told that he had become quite wealthy and owned multiple houses. Is it possible that he had become so obsessed with wealth that he developed some sort of "Gollom" syndrome, in which he became completely materialistic, as well as selfish and devoid of normal human affectation towards others?

Well, first, we have heard that he was a "high roller" gambler and had gambled tens of thousands of dollars in the recent past. What we have not heard is whether that gambling produced winnings or losses. If he recently lost large sums of money and believed he was cheated, might that have infuriated him? I'd be interested to know -- what type of recent interactions had he had at casinos?

We're also told that, although having been twice married, he had no children, so he would not have experienced the depth of familial love that he was about to deprive others of. He was in a position to have become habituated to doing whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted, without much regard to the effects on other people.

Finally, we're told today that Las Vegas casinos/hotels are considering implementing tighter security measures. Any measures that would reduce the numbers of tourist and gamblers visiting Vegas might financially hurt the industry.

Could this have been Paddock's ultimate goal? Was he so depraved and vindictive as to be willing to slaughter innocent people in an attempt to exact retribution against the casino industry? It seemed that James Hodgkinson had become exactly that depraved and callous when he tried to assassinate the Republican reps at the baseball practice.

Perhaps it will eventually come out, but I have yet to see any information about Paddock that would indicate why he would simply hate concert attendees and want to wipe them out. Hopefully, his computer hard drive and social media content will shed some light on why he committed this horrible act.

If Stephen Paddock was a deep in debt gambler who thought the casinos ripped him off - why didn’t he go after them?

He shot up a country music festival full of innocent people. But full of pro-Trump folks. He picked his target very carefully and with months of preparation.

There are lots of angles that need to be investigated.

The muslim angle (ISIS called him one of their soldiers). He did travel to the ME last year and his girlfriend is Indonesian (the largest population muslim country).

The hateful left angle. He has lots of links to the angry left. And as they keep saying “Trump is evil and equal to Hitler” without dispute from the leaders of the left (like obama and Hillary), eventually, someone is going to follow the lead.

And we just recently had a Republican congressman and his aides nearly assassinated by another older white left wing Hillary supporter male. Funny how the left buried that story.

He seemed to have made his wealth in real estate. Did he lose it too?

NBC reported that he was “known” to authorities but with no details given. His father was once on the FBI’s top 10 most wanted for robbing banks in LV.

There will be mucho info coming in the next few weeks. Who knows where it where lead.

But I doubt he was someone who just “snapped.” Way too much planning and preparation to include wiring his girlfriend $100,000 days before he committed this crime.

I don’t buy it. If the losses are recent, they might have been an effect of the decision to commit mass murder, not a cause. He decided he wouldn’t need his money, so he tried to have “fun” with it. I’m not sure why losing is fun, but most other vices aren’t much fun either.

He might hurt concerts; following the ISIS concert attack in the UK, this could hurt a little. He might hurt America by creating yet another push to disarm law-abiding Americans. As a leftist from Sun Valley, that damage might appeal to him. But hurting casinos? I don’t think so. I think he’s just a democrat who doesn’t mind hurting people as long as he enjoys himself.

Yes, that is my first guess as to why shoot up the country music people. But so far, they have not released anything from his computers or social media presence to substantiate it. That is why I wondered if perhaps this is about something else.

If he was upset at the gambling industry, he would have shot up a Casino, not getting the connection between shooting up a Country Music Festival and his hate for Casinos

He was wealthy. Probably did not have health insurance so no mandatory annual checkup.

Doubtful. He attacked a concert, not a casino. If anything, this will make hotels/casinos in Vegas tighten security a bit which will make visitors feel a little safer inside them.

All true, but he also won a lot and I doubt he was stressed out about the bucks. He was a high roller and actually wanted to move into the video poker world, although he was quite well-off himself and didn’t need anything else. He did it for the thrills, and I don’t think he had any grudge against the gaming industry.

No he attacked Las Vegas and the tourists who go to Las Vegas. Ya can’t separate them at this point. And it was long since known as a target way before Paddock decided to do what he did. You can bet the rent LV will lose biz.

If he had targeted a casino, maybe, but targeting a county western music event, no, he had some other motive.

I wish with all of these maniacs there was information compiled about what drugs, legal and illegal, they’ve taken. I can’t help but suspect the drugs, pharmaceutical and illegal, are affecting people’s sense of reality and their ability to think rationally.
