Well.......the Flag/Anthem America haters have had their moments of glory for themselves and their open display of hate for their country. One can only guess when the playing of the USA National Anthem and the raising of the USA Flag will be mocked and then banned from being played and displayed at upcoming Olympic Games.
America...you have lost your soul and, I fear lost your country in the process. When football replaces the status, history, culture of the once mighty USA, the future for our country, its children, its opportunities is greatly diminished.
The blame, IMHO, rests somewhat with the Kneeler Haters of the USA....but, the real blame and shame rests with the American people who it seems have elected to favor "Football" over "Country". Sad days lay ahead for the dying American Republic.
I think the nfl is about to find out that they are NOT too big to fail. Attendance is down and that will continue IMO. They allow this behavior to continue at their own peril.
College sports is next.
Since I dont think any of these nut cases, has enough sense to come in out of the rain, they WILL continue to do this. Screw em all.
I think that the NFL now will have no way to deny that its impending demise is due to anything but the disrespect for our nation, our flag, which does not stand for racism, or any other abuse true or untrue
It will be amazing to watch.
The complete failure of such a money making system will be huge and fearsome

I remember this incident quite well. The difference was this was a one time gesture, a big difference from what is happening today in the NFL, NBA & MLB.
The problem lies in the hands of the owners of sports teams who have zero backbones and spines. All that needs to be done is for the league and the team owners to inform their players, etc., that they are playing for a sports team, not a political party and, that their customers and fans deserve a sports event free of political infection, one side or the other.
If these players are so driven by their political views, let them openly join the Democrat Party left-wing nutcases and then they can rant and rave all they wish to.
The nfl will get NONE of my hard earned money. Problem is many just are a little addicted to football and many have their money already invested in season tickets.
Eight year olds are already doing it.
“College sports is next.”
Perhaps. But it will come down to money for the executives at one point. Empty stadiums, decent citizens refusing to rally with this senseless illogical temper tantrum will rule. Anyone playing in college right now or at least at the end of this season is going to be so freaked out to have to think about really studying when the money stops rolling in I think the only protesting they’ll be thinking about will be against these foolish destructive brats ruining their own and a football’s future
But I don’t know
Maybe all this will finally begin to taper people’s bizarre infatuation with all things sports related. Deifying people who can run, jump, catch really well has always been a mystery to me.
Maybe its just the geek in me coming out.
NFL does take over Sunday anyway, for many. There’s something about that that’s not good
It’s not just the NFL and Sunday. Gather in any group, and soon there’s talk of the local HS teams and who’s kids and grandkids are stars. Fall Saturdays are monopolized with college football.
My extended family, none of whom were/are particular gifted athletes, ALWAYS gets around to LSU talk sooner or later whenever there’s a gathering.
The morning coffee groups I go to always spend part of the morning talking sports.
But ask ANY of them who the latest local National Merit Scholarship winner is, and you’ll get that look.
I don’t think this will be revolutionary to that extent. I think that, at least, and for a girl, watching excellence in action is inspirational like in a movie, an opera, a ballet or a game.
I know who the merit scholars were in my school where I taught and in my kids’ school. And that’s inspiring for people who are lucky enough to be involved with kids
The deification you talk about is too far
I wonder what their refund policy is?
People have the right to express their opinions. If the NFL wants to become a political mouthpiece and flush itself down the toilet, so be it - no great loss as there are many better things to do with your time and money. Disrespect from them begets disrespect from me and mine.
Sports fans, hit these anti-Americans where it hurts - in their sponsors’ pocketbook. Stop buying their memorabilia.
I have a presentation at eight o’clock. Should I begin with a political rant?
I heard san fran requires a minimum purchase of 3 seasons with payment in advance. Wow, what a gyp.
Huh? Don't go to nor watch the games. Period !
