The cast and creators of Stranger Things arrived in Hall H, the biggest Comic-Con venue of all, on Saturday, and cracked up the assembled crowd for most of the hourlong panel. They also unveiled a new trailer.
Executive producers Shawn Levy, Matt Duffer, and Ross Duffer, as well as cast members Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, David Harbour, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Sadie Sink, Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, and Dacre Montgomery were all on hand.
The new trailer is scored to Michael Jacksons Thriller, using the creepy narration of Vincent Price. It starts out with the kids at a video arcade, playing Dragons Lair. Will sees a vision of the Upside Down outside the arcade, complete with a red, stormy, supernatural sky. Later, he says, I saw something. I felt it everywhere.

Season 1 was pretty good...wondering what was taking so long for the next season to come out.
Stranger Things is a good show.
No mention of Wynona Ryder? That show was the best thing she’d done in decades, maybe ever.
Hard to watch after the little hissy fit they threw at _____ awards show. I suspect season 2 will start to show some convergence. Great premise and first season.
This show absolutely hauls mega-ass. I know you right-wing meanie-old FReepers frown on Hollywood, and the lead actor (the local Police Chief on the show) is a Trump-hater, but you gotta watch this show. It is a throwback to the 80s and to the Goonies kind of. My co-workers were talking about this show, and after the first episode, I was hooked. I watched the entire series that night (There’s only 8 or 9 episodes) and didn’t get any sleep the next day for work. That’s how good it is.
Love it!! They even included Vincent Price’s voice!!
Did you notice the Reagan/Bush sign on the lawn?
Meh - the series sucks.
It’s not a throwback at all and it’s not “horror goonies” - it’s badly written, uninteresting and overhyped.
Wynona Ryder was or is known as Wanna Ride Her
Heard that decades ago on Saturday Night Live episode.
She was er... popular with other actors.

My daughter's middle name is Audrey. I'm sure you can figure that out.
Wow, anyone in her strata that wears pants.
It’s good, but it’s basically Steven King’s FIRESTARTER and Dean Koontz’s DOOR TO DECEMBER put together, and that’s kind of it. Well done, though.
I love the theme music and title card. The music sounds like ambient 80’s video-game music and the lettering for the show’s title is reminiscent of the fonts used for horror novels during the same time.
Perfect casting, for sure.
A co-worker got me going on it too. I’m at the fourth episode now. It’s not high art or anything but it’s good and it’s fun. I’m getting a kick out of the ‘80s cars which the producers did a good job of putting in the background.
The show is set in ‘83. Which means a lot of the cars should be in the ‘77’80 range.
I remember some of those boats people used to steer through town with when I was a kid.
I haven’t seen an AMC Pacer or Gremlin featured prominently in the background. A real DeLorean blowing through town once would be fun to see, too.
Yep, they’ve got some ‘70s era barges, plus I’ve noticed a Pacer and an early ‘80s 3 series BMW. I’ve seen the BMW in two scenes now and as an old school BMW guy I’m keeping an eye out for it.
