Days after announcing his repeat challenge to House Speaker Paul Ryan in the upcoming Republican primary, Paul Nehlen told WND he is running again because he believes Ryan is failing President Trump as well as the voters of Ryan’s own district.
“Paul Ryan is actively thwarting the president,” Nehlen told WND. “Ryan could have had a vote on full repeal of Obamacare, but he chose to bring a cadaver and see if Trump could breathe life into it. We are funding everything that was funded under Obama with the 2015 omnibus spending bill and the latest omnibus spending bill.”
Think about this – Speaker Ryan’s budgets have funded the following: sanctuary cities, dangerous refugee resettlement, illegal alien orientation and resettlement, the release of criminal illegal aliens from prison and payments used to pay the families of Palestinian terrorists,” Nehlan told WND.
“We need someone in there who will stop giving a blank check to the left’s priorities.”
“Here’s what I want to talk about,” Nehlen said. “We need to build a wall to control immigration. We need to stop the dangerous refugee resettlement racket. And we need a full repeal of Obamacare. I think a lot of Republicans thought we would already have those things if we had a majority in both houses and the White House. Yet here we are.”

A 68 point margin is hard to overcome.
Another title could have been “Non-Event Occurs in Wisconsin”. Nehlen is throwing good money after bad.
He was installed by Boehner. Boehner took the unprecedented step of halting selection of a new Speaker. Previous Congresses would vote repeatedly, sometimes for days, until a Speaker was selected.
He has a year.
The GOP has every intention of filling the void of the DNC that has gone insane. They are what is going to destroy this country if this crap is not stopped.
Paul Ryan needs to go, but Paul Nehlen may not be the best one to make that happen. He was buried in that last primary.
Part of the reason could be that comparatively few voters ever heard of Nehlen or gave him any thought at all.
If he’s running, he needs to give people more reason to vote for him. People need to see him not just being combative, but showing that he is capable of being calm, rational and able to listen to people. The fact that he is not Paul Ryan, is not enough reason by itself. Hillary just tried that sort of logic.
Hopefully, someone more experienced will also step up to the challenge. Best case scenario, is Ryan quits on his own, takes his marbles and goes home to some Bush Think Tank.
One doesn’t just snap one’s fingers and defeat the Speaker of the House of Representatives in a Congressional election...

Anytime the Republican has a Democrat spouse the Republican ends up voting for Democrat policies.
The Republican Party has too many Democrats in it.
Nehlen is the whipped dog, currently, though I'd be happy to vote for him if I was in his district.
As we saw in 2016, reality often intrudes on whimsy, and losing by 50+ points isn't even remotely close...

I remember when Ryan first rose to national prominence, he was heralded as a new force for conservatism - what a disappointment he turned out to be. Democrats punish back-sliders and compromisers - the GOP encourages them. These guys go to Washington and become co-opted and seduced by the Uniparty mentality inside the Beltway so quickly.
