How the Clothes Make the First Lady

These days, every time I sit down to write about the clothes worn by a political figure, I have to take a deep breath. I wrote this week about the image engineering of the first lady, Melania Trump, as she accompanied her husband on his first trip abroad, and I know pretty soon the hate tweets are going to start flooding in. “You idiot, why are you writing about what they wear!” “How dare you normalize them!” “Oh, right: Clothes are so much more important than the budget, you airhead.” And so on.

Long winded way of simply saying;

You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

The media breathlessly reports on ‘First Lady Fashion’ when they can’t otherwise gush over their leftist heroes.

I predict that at the Trump administration goes on– and their desire to hurt him in any way possible extends to his wife– the media will awaken to the idea that sycophancy for the First Lady’s attire is sexist, and they’ll abandon the practice.

This is an obvious case where the woman makes the clothes....she could wear a peasant dress, or even sack cloth and make it look top-drawer..

Ping to First Lady Melania's List.

She is simply fabulous.

Because she’d know how to wear that sack cloth.

How the Clothes Make the First Lady

No Vanessa, you silly twit. A lady makes the First Lady. Michelle Obama was and is no lady. Her ugliness begins at the bone and is evident in everything she does, including the clothing she selects to wear.

Though some women have more to work with than others, I have never seen one who is "perfect". They all must work at presenting their best appearance, emphasizing their attractive features.

And a woman's most attractive feature is her good heart. It shines through. Bad character also manifests itself in appearance. Clothing may distract from the physical manifestation of bad character, but it cannot long hide it...unless, of course, one is a clueless liberal twit.

Because Melania is a good looking woman.

When looking at the Wookie, you can tell not only is she ugly, but that ugly extends to her personality of mean.

She is the essence of the she-boon. Entitled, racist, mean, loud, and ignorant.

Mooch was regularly seen in “early tag sale” attire and looked it. Melania could wear the same rags and look great. Any questions?

A lot of empty words and none that address the title. Melania’s clothes have spoken a thousand words from her pink pussy shirt to her not to Jackie to her white pant suit. Too bad the author couldn’t have followed through on what could have been an enlightening expose.

“...image engineering...” — as if Melania all-of-a-sudden contrived to adopt her current style. She is who she is, and her style has been the same for decades. This writer is clueless.

That was a waste of time. What kind of person would even take the time to write such tripe that said nothing.

Melania Trump is both elegant and beautiful.

Just... stunning.

I love the way she carries herself. She gives me hope that femininity isn’t lost.

***When looking at the Wookie, you can tell not only is she ugly,***

I saw her smile ONCE. She wasn’t bad looking when she smiled. All the rest of her photos seem to be of her in a constant PO’d frown and scowl which gives the feeling of bone deep ugly anger.

***Melania could wear the same rags and look great.***

As Richard Chamberlain (yeah, I know) to Yvette Mimieux in JOY IN THE MORNING...
“You look good in new clothes!
You look good in old clothes!
But you look best, (whispering) in no clothes!”

Hard to believe I still remember that line after 53 years. Shows I’m not senile yet!

Melania was such a hit on their European trip, I was reminded of the time John and Jackie Kennedy went to Europe. Jackie made such a hit too, that at one point (France, I think), John Kennedy said, “I am the man who accompanied Jackie Kennedy to (France).” Jackie then proceeded to speak to them in French, and the people were completely enchanted.

I wouldn’t go out the front door in that dress...MO had the worst taste in clothes!

I think the snake dress with sweaters over sweaters was the worst ever....or maybe the green dress that made her(?) look like she is a guy down there.
