Where is “elegant solution”? That is the most annoying office jargon of all.

I used to be irritated by a number of those phrases. However, like the ms Word ribbon, I’ve learned to love and use a lot of them. They may irritate people, but they get the point across succinctly.

I’ve been known to say, “Let me reach out to, touch base with, contact, have a pow-wow with Bill.”

I think it was metioned but “value proposition” is one that is like an itchy sweater to me.

Numbers 14 (Bottom line), 20 (Benchmark) and 32 (Action plan ) aren't really jargon. They are normal terms that describe definite items and have been in use for a very, very long time.

Now, in today's business/corporate environment that is populated largely by mis-educated illiterates, their usage is not at all proper.
