How can that be? That’s the gender binary! Saying that there are only two is a modern-day heresy! Why everyone knows that there is an enormous spectrum of genders with new ones being added every day.
So, how about if I say I’m a girl, and apply at a women’s college? Then the next day I say I’m a man. Do I get thrown out?
Another question. When a woman “transitions” to a man, does she become a patriarchal oppressor?
One more. When a man “transitions” to a woman, does he lose his patriarchal guilt and become a certified victim?
I guess this means that we have to use different pronouns depending on the day. This can get to be really difficult, especially because we can be fired for using the “wrong” pronoun. So I propose a medallion to be worn on one’s shirt or blouse. It would have an LED that displays the bearer’s name, gender, nominative, possessive, objective and predicate pronouns for the day. EX:
