Maybe he will be the oldest person to die while trying to climb Everest. Not the record he wanted. ;

The war torn areas will surely welcome
an ambassador from the Death Zone.

meh. The beloved of the dearly departed will certainly say, “He died doing what he loved.”
I would think he died because he was an obstinate Schmuck.

As Clint Eastwood said, “A man has to know his limitations.” Sad nonetheless.

Sherchan told The Associated Press that once he had completed the climb and became famous, he intended to travel to conflict areas to spread a message of peace. LOL! At least it wasn't "Global Warming/Climate Change."

I’m not going anyplace where I can’t buy a kitchen magnet for the fridge.

If he was holding a looted crate of Heineken it would be perfect.

At 85 my Dad couldn’t walk across the street without oxygen, due to emphysema. I respect this climber and the life he led. Still, it’s sad.

With respect to both you and Clint Eastwood, someone like Chuck Yeager might say “How do you know your limitations unless you push the envelope?”

Good for him. He died doing what he wanted to do and pushing his personal limit, doesn’t get any better than that.

So he’s the oldest one to die on Everest. That’s just as good, isnt it?

Min Bahadur Sherchan died at the Everest base camp on Saturday evening.
Hope he didn't have to pay the $35K outfitter fee to walk the ropes..............
