The wife of the Tennessee teacher who went on the run with his 15-year-old student claims he admitted he's slept with the teen and begged her forgiveness after he was caught.
Jill Cummins, who filed for divorce from Tad Cummins after he ran off with Elizabeth Thomas five weeks ago, said her husband made the confession during a phone call from jail.
Mrs Cummins told Inside Edition she had asked him straight out; 'did you sleep with her?'
'Yes I did,' he replied, according to his wife who said she hadn't wanted to hear any details of their relationship, but she had already known the truth.
'I just wanted to hear it from him to me.'

Consider what kind of man Tad was the love was one sided, hers. Now that’s gone too.
The wife will be way better off without him. She can find a real man that enjoys the company of a real woman and isn’t interested in doing criminal things with/to a child.
Of course, I don't know his wife. But if I were a betting man, which I am decidedly not, I would bet that forgiveness will not be forthcoming.

Given the wife’s age, weight and looks, I very much doubt it. Most likely She will be without a companion for the rest of her life.
What he did totally ruins any trust that might have existed with the wife. It is very unlikely he will ever have any kind of good relationship with his ex-wife or kids after this. He will spend a fair amount of time in jail. He will be labeled a sex offender for the rest of his life, and as such likely alone and friendless for the rest of his earthly existence.
His daughters will likely be adversely affected, as Dad turned out to be untrustworthy, that kind of thing really affects folks ability to trust others.
The Girl he went on the road with seems to have been troubled. This little incident will likely not help any.
The guy did a lot of damage for such a short amount of...what exactly?
Truly sad when you see someone destroy their own life and those of the people around them.

I did the math and it appears that Tad Cummins married his wife when he was 19. The wife does appear younger than him - so she may have only been 16 or 17.

31 years ago it was still common for marriages like this to occur. It was frown upon in the 80’s but it happened. Plus he was 19 when she was 16 or 17 not like he was 50. Can’t rightly say when these type of marriages stopped happening guess when people just started living together.
What you said is so very true.
I know for a fact that one a person strays from the marriage and family, something happens to them. It wreaks havoc on everybody involved. Sure, you get told just move on or you will survive. Yes, we will but the damage is so great, especially if the marriage and family life was good to begin with. I like to say that when you dabble with evil and destruction, a darkness overcomes the person who strayed and it is never the same after that.

Oh no no no no no no no!!!! I know what’s coming next! She will make rounds on talk shows several of which will be Oprah (on OWN) and/or Oprah’s girlfriend Dr. Phil. One of those two will send her to a fat farm, a spa for a make over, and serious counseling at a place none of us could ever afford in a million years. By the time it’s all over we won’t recognize her and because of the Lifetime movie made about her (yes her) she will be semi famous and have some one just not sure of their gender.
