I live in Miami. None of the Latinos who I work with show up on time...always at least 15 minutes late...if it is going to be an hour or more late, they may call to advise of that. Then they eat breakfast on the clock. The thirty minute lunch break is at least 45 minutes if they eat at work, an hour plus if they leave to eat. Something changes as it gets closer to time to leave...then they are early....sitting in the lounge for an hour or more before time to leave. Truly amazing to me that this is accepted as the norm.

My students are the same way. Ask them to be on time, and they are offended. But they want to pack up five minutes before it's time to go, and would stand at the door the whole five minutes if I let them.
