This was a dangerous thing to do, and taking the law into one's own hands is never a good thing to do, but there is some incredible street justice here.
Especially good are the exploding air bags and electric dog training shock collars inserted into the seats of the bikes the perps are trying steal.

Looks fake to me.
The filmmakers reactions are probably shot later, but the perps are real
Looks like the last one got a free broken ankle! OUCHY!
Don’t do da crime if ya can’t do da time.
There was an episode of “Cops” where bikes were salted and the perps taken down. Real justice.
Great entertainment.
The guys who made it not only had a great time, they did a public service.
In my town the cops regularly plat bait bikes and round up perps for stealing them. They have GPS on the bikes.
They have a couple of really nice racing bikes that cross the grand theft threshold.
ping
They be racisss, deliberately settin’ up the brutha’s to fail.
They baited someone in another prank to go inside a U-Haul truck to steal some packages. They closed the door and took them on a bumpy ride. Isn’t that kidnapping? I can’t believe some of the things these guys have done. Has anyone sued them or have they been charged with crimes? Don’t get me wrong, I love the pranks when they nail a-holes.
Look at the sequence starting at 3:17, the perp gets foiled and the scene immediately & continuously goes to the guys that setup the bait.

Film wasn’t cut.
The perps look like they were paid.
These whipper-snappers should be a lil more careful. They might put an eye out.
$1500 bikes. The payoff was when they learned they were being charged with grand larceny.
Yeah, I wondered about that too.
If you booby-trap a vacant home you own, and you injure or kill some thug who tries to break in, the law usually puts you right in the cross-hairs.
I wouldn’t have my mug on that vid...
It's basically a private-sector version of Bait Car with bikes and no LEO involvement.
If a criminal is in the process of committing crimes they cannot legally claim to be a victim. This is why they cant claim self defense while attacking someone to rob or try to murder.
These guys do the “exploding purse” thing which is pretty funny even if it is a setup.
Absolutely.
The elements of kidnapping usually include, within a certain jurisdiction, certain person(s) held another person(s) against their will, without legal authority to do so, and if they are moved from one location to another, that makes the crime much easier to prove.
Someone stole my brand new bike once (from parents’ for bday) from right under my nose. Thought we were playing basketball, and when I ran for the ball, off he went.
