So we're looking at a few states (I put up a post about Kentucky awhile ago too) and the Asheville region of NC has come up as a nice looking place. The politics are a 50/50 split (Which is terrible.. we're coming from a 90+% conservative area), the economics look right and the land area look pretty and great for motorcycle riding.
I looked up some stuff on gun laws though. WTF ?
Can anyone give me insight to some of these things ? Homeschooling, gun laws, politics, etc ?
Would be greatly appreciated !
I am biased, but if you don’t need the beach, move to Kentucky. Skip Lexington and Louisville. I live in east Lville.
Love NC. Born in Wilmington, still trying to get back. But Charlotte is the worst southern city excepting Atlanta.
Pennsylvania and Florida.....
I’m from the South. Asheville is quaint and fun if you dont mind libtard USA. The NC. Mountains outside of Asheville are tribal. You can live there for 30 years and you will still be an outsider. The motto of the NC foothills is that the only virgin in the family is the girl who can out run her brothers. The low country on the coast is nice and the area right across the GA line like Franklin etc is nice.
If we were going to move out of GA we would move to Tenn.
I have lived all over north carolina from the research triangle charlotte western part. If you like Asheville move to a county north west or south of there. Buncomb county itself is very liberal. I would strongly suggest you look near the Hendersonville area. Near Asheville but nice and conservative. Also brevard.
This is a great information site: http://www.city-data.com
It gives you information that realtors can’t or won’t give you, like the religious and racial breakdown, of a city or town, average salary, age and sex of residents and even R or D voting patterns.
Been there many times. Like the area between Raleigh and Spring Lake. Cary etc. I like the beach but they do gt a hurricane now and then nice people
lots of army Spring Lake and fayetteville
