actually, no. Only the person or people with their name on the mortgage or rental lease have the legal right to say who can come in or stay at their house.
If the daughter’s bf was invited over by her and her dad told him to leave and she said “no dad he can stay he’s my guest”, what do you think the cops would do if called? Yea that’s right they’d tell the bf to get the hell out of the house because the owner said so.
The guy was not there under the guise of doing anything criminal, and this is unfortunate, but that’s the risk you take sneaking around someone’s house at night when they don’t know you’re there “visiting” their daughter.

In Georgia, unless the girl is under 16, she can consent to sex. If she is 13 or above, it would simply be a misdemeanor for the 17 year old to have sex with her.

The article was not clear, but if the kids were having sex, their activity while against the rules of her dad, were legal in the eyes of the state.

What we don’t know is if the dad had implicitly prohibited the victim from entering the house. However, you cannot not go shooting everyone that your kid invites into the house and claim your kid’s friend is an intruder.

Had the daughter invited a friend over to make cupcakes in the kitchen, the dad could not shoot the friend and claim he was an intruder.

Like I said before, I don’t think the guy gets convicted but he may be bankrupted by the DA and a civil suit.
