Well, in the disturbed minds of NYT executives their employee apologized for his slander and the matter is settled — no further action is warranted. (No doubt the NYT executives would have reacted the same way if, say, one of their employees had repeated an “unfounded rumor” that a former first lady is a “ghetto queen”) — /sarc of course!)

That's right. The standard of the NYT's is to merely IMPLY the First Lady is a hooker, run lots of hearsay and unattributed quotes, etc...

This cub needs to learn exactly how "sophisticated" media outlets slander, defame and lie in an acceptable way.

Granted the reporter was talking about the first lady. But also about a personal perception of women in general.

Since this individual works for the NYT they are ultimately responsible. As well we all know MSM is not held accountable for their drive by shooting. They know once they ring the bell it cannot be un-rung. Apologies do not un-ring the bell
